Career Advice for Cancer Signs

Career Advice for Cancer Signs
The Cancer is a very hard horoscope sign to read if you don’t know anything about the Cancer sign.
Usually, other horoscope signs are fairly easy to read and are straightforward even if you don’t have a background on astrology.
You only need to look at what they are doing, pay attention to what they are doing, and put things together. You can see general trends, you can see general directions, and for the most part, your observations can lead to fairly accurate predictions.
Not so with the Cancer. The Cancer really requires some knowledge of the Cancer personality. There’s really no way around it.
They’re very hard to figure out. The reason for this is because there are always two sides to them. The side that you can see, and the side that you cannot see. The outside and the inside.
From general appearances, Cancers look like they have everything under control. They look like they can set goals, work towards goals, and achieve them.
In many cases, the typical Cancer looks like he or she is going places in life. They went to the right schools, they took the right courses, they have the right jobs, they drive the right cars, they live in the right side of town; everything seems to be going right.
However, if you become truly familiar with the Cancer and become emotionally intimate with that person, you would be surprised as to what you will find when you dig deep enough.
Assuming that your Cancer friend or lover allows you to the inner sections of his or her heart, you really would be surprised as the glaring difference between the things you can see and the things you can’t see.
While Cancers look like they have the world in their hands, at least in terms of appearance, deep down they are a mess. They are very insecure, they have a deep sense of inadequacy, they feel like they will lose everything in a snap of a finger.
There are just so many things going on. It’s like they are trying to hang on; it’s like they’re trying to keep themselves from unraveling at any second.
This can be very disconcerting. In fact, if you become really intimate friends with the Cancer, it can shake your confidence; it can really freak you out.
In many cases, it could make you feel sorry why you insisted on letting the Cancer let you into his or her heart.
There’s this huge dichotomy between what’s inside and what’s outside. This should not be a surprise. After all, the Cancer is based on the crab.
The crab is tough outside. If you screw around with a crab, chances are your finger might get squeezed by the Cancer’s pincher or claw.
However, once you’re able to get near enough and take of the crab shell, deep down it’s a soft, gooey mess. This explains the Cancer personality.
Whether you’re a Cancer and you need advice regarding your career, or you are a coworker, supervisor, or boss or a Cancer, keep the following in mind.
They all flow from the general direction and general description of a typical Cancer personality.

Focus on the Right Goals

The Cancer is so driven to put on the appearance of doing the right thing and having the right career or accomplishments that they end up living other people’s lives.
In other words, they end up picking a goal not because they believe in it, not because it is personally meaningful at a deep level to them, but because other people prize that goal.
In other words, they are just going along. They evaluate the worthiness of a particular goal based on how many other people want it. This is a recipe for disaster, seriously.
All goals need a lot of work. All goals need a lot of time. All goals need sacrifice and energy.
If you focus on a certain goal and deep down you don’t really want it or really believe in it, and you end up achieving it, you might find out too late that at the end it didn’t really matter. If you’re truly honest with yourself, you find out that you basically just wasted your time.
This is a very common pattern with Cancers when it comes to career issues. They end up basically participating in something because they feel that everybody else wants it. Just because everybody else wants that particular goal doesn’t mean that it’s right for you.
Focus instead on your bliss. Focus on what makes you happy. Focus on what will give you real meaning.

Don’t Get Too Emotionally Wrapped Up in Your Projects

If the advice above wasn’t enough to shock you regarding a particularly bad aspect of Cancer career decision making tendencies, brace yourself. There’s more.
It’s bad enough that you may be running after the wrong goals, but you also tend to do it with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, and all your energy. You get really, really emotionally wrapped up in your projects.
In fact, you think that at a certain point that there isn’t a distinction between you and your project.
This all can lead to burnout. This all can lead to nervous breakdown. This can all lead to breakdown of relationships.
It’s not uncommon for Cancer people to develop this sort of tunnel vision that everything else in their life loses meaning because it is not wrapped around this particular project or big goal.
The solution to this, really, is fairly straightforward. It’s actually common sense. Make sure that you look at everything in perspective. Look at the big picture.
The big picture is not making a lot of money; the big picture is not getting a pat on the back by your boss; the big picture is not getting this fancy title or degree.
They big picture is to become a happy person. The big picture is to become a more complete, fully functional person on many different levels.
I am of course talking about being fully developed on the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical level.
In other words, be a complete person. By focusing so much on one thing and basically allowing everything else to go to hell is not a recipe for success.

Always Be Ready to Let Go

However big your projects may seem and however important they may be, you must always be ready to let go. This is really your reset button.
This is your lifeline to reality. This is the only thing allowing you to look at the big picture.
Everything must be in context. And in the big scheme of things, your project probably isn’t all that special or that important.
So, always be ready to let go. Always look at the cost of things. Don’t focus on looking like you have everything going and looking successful get in the way of real success.
What is real success?
Being loved by a family. Having a great relationship with your children. Being spiritually and emotionally complete.
Those are the real victories in life. Keep everything in perspective.
